Mobile First Innovation

There are many responsive mobile first websites that exhibit a fantastic creative and interactive desktop experience, but when it comes to the mobile experience, it just doesn’t cut it. This is usually down to the fact that any interactivity on a mobile device has limited browser/device support, requires a speedy connection or is just something that will not add to the user experience. I’m always on the lookout for responsive websites that do manage to achieve this consistency across desktop and devices and one such site is the Lacoste fall/winter lookbook for China created by Stinkdigital. Based on a virtual snow globe, this interactive 360 degree website experience allows mobile users to tilt their mobile phone’s gyroscope to interact with Lacoste’s Autumn/Winter collection. It was designed for integration into WeChat – China’s leading social media app. One of the few websites which manages to maintain full interactivity on mobile devices. Take a look at the screenshots below or better still visit the website and have a play.
